Vasculitis is an inflammation of blood vessels that can restrict blood flow, leading to organ and tissue damage. Vasculitis signs and symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, weight loss, and general aches and pains. Depending on the affected area, symptoms may also involve skin issues like red or purple spots, lumps, or open sores. Eyes may experience redness, itching, burning, double vision, or even vision loss. Ears can show symptoms such as dizziness, ringing, or sudden hearing loss. Respiratory signs include shortness of breath or coughing up blood, while the digestive system may cause abdominal pain, ulcers, or blood in stools. In the hands and feet, numbness, weakness, or swelling may occur.
