Judith Ann Moore Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who
for Excellence in Needlework & Quilting
Judith Moore strives to become recognized as a name in the fiber arts world
as a designer, writer, lecturer, and consultant
SAN ANGELO, TX, January 30, 2012 /AE PR News/ -- Published Designer and Writer Judith A. Moore has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in needlework and quilting.
After teaching in public schools in Ohio and Texas for three decades, Ms. Moore retired and began working in a quilt shop. This led her to create a needlework design book after she was approached by a publisher. The book went on to be published globally and further led Ms. Moore down a fruitful path that now includes her own freelance design studio, Judy Annie Designs, a vehicle for her hand-stitched quilts and pattern work.
She enjoys drawing from her years of experience as an educator to consult and conduct workshops to successfully teach others about needlework and quilting while continuing her writing and design work, which includes designing quilts, hooked rugs, and needlework, publishing new designs in pattern form, and researching and writing books on historical quilts and rugs. She has been contributing articles to the quarterly magazine, The Wool Street Journal, for the past five years. One of her most recent articles is titled 'Gifted and Talented Aren't We All.'
A graduate of Miami University, Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in education and numerous Teacher of the Year awards. Her professional affiliations include the Hearth & Home Fiberarts Guild and Association of Traditional Hooking Artists. Ms. Moore attributes her success to her father, who showed confidence in her and taught her that education is something that no one can take away. Looking ahead, Ms. Moore hopes to be recognized as a name in the fiber arts world as a designer, writer, lecturer, and consultant.
