Latest Exhibit Presented At The Rubin Gallery In NY City
A new exhibit on early pictures from Tibet just opened at the Rubin art gallery in NY City. The Rubin museum is best named a not for profit museum committed to the art of the Himalayas.
PHOENIX, AZ, November 29, 2011 /AE PR News/ -- The creators of the art gallery, Shelly and Donald Rubin, have recently generously donated $25 million to the museum and selected Patrick Sears as Chief Executive.
This exhibit is referred to as a "Mirror of the Buddha" and represents Indian style "shari" artwork where they use intricate design styles and delicate colors. These are not canvas paintings, nor can you purely call them abstract oil paintings.
There are several well-known museums and exhibits where you could see contemporary artwork showcased. These galleries are all over the country from the West coast, such as Scottsdale, Arizona and San Francisco, California, to of course the East coast including the Museum of Modern Art in NY City along with smaller but very prestigious museums and art galleries.
In many places, you will notice only showcases of oil paintings. While in others you can see showcases of all sorts including statues or even video features. The Rubin museum does not specialise in only canvas paintings or canvas oil paintings but provides a selection of creative exhibits. Their focus on Himalayan paintings is to teach the present day day public about this ancient way of life rich in history and to bring the past and present together in a really amazing and artful approach.
Now and again there could be sectional artwork, where a picture is exhibited over individual panels and some of these oil paintings could cover a large wall. These type of panel paintings are well-liked by more contemporary artists and there are many emerging who are experts in Himalayan artwork.
Now and again, sectional canvas paintings, is not used, and other kinds of appearance. An initial foray by the Rubin museum into contemporary art was done last year after they launched a presentation known as "Grain of Emptiness - Buddhism inspired Contemporary Art".
On October 22nd, they will be presenting an adult sleepover at the museum and will have dream interpreters to wake up the guests the next day.
Whether your preference runs to ancient works of art and art forms of ideological heroes or to oil paintings in a more sleek and modern style, I am certain all art fanatics will agree that an passion for the aesthetic wavelength and an appreciation for others' style of art, even if it is not your own, its an vital factor to diversifying the artistic community.
