Actress Gabrielle Nevins Commits to Supporting Matt Damon's H2O Africa Foundation as her Philanthropic Cause
Following her passion for eliminating poverty and protecting our world's natural resources, Gabrielle Nevins is speaking out in support of Matt Damon's non-profit, H2O Africa.
LOS ANGELES, CA, November 18, 2011 /AE PR News/ -- Following her passion for eliminating poverty and protecting our world's natural resources, Gabrielle Nevins is speaking out in support of Matt Damon's non-profit, H2O Africa.
H2O Africa has a mission to create widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gather support for integrated sustainable clean water programs in critical areas. Oversight of H2O Africa programs and initiatives will be through partnerships with major non-government organizations as well as progress-based grant agreements.
Gabrielle Nevins was honored Wednesday, at the Spirit of Community Awards Dinner, with the Motivational Minds Spirit of Philanthropy Award for her pursuit of globally inspired acting. All award winners are asked to commit at least 100 hours to their favorite cause. In her acceptance speech Nevins acknowledged the great work that has been done thus far, and the dire need for more focus, more contributors, and more resources directed to the causes H2O Africa support.
